In 2020, I worked with the UN-REDD Programme to develop and write an Op-Ed that would build awareness about the connection between deforestation and the increased risk of pandemics. After several years of working with the UN-REDD Programme as a writer and editor, I had the opportunity to work on this story that was published in The National Observer.
