Sometimes in PR, it can take months to get any hits, or stories in the media. For clients who are relatively new to PR, those months of waiting can lead to questions like: why did I bother with PR? Isn’t PR a waste of money? But then, sometimes, all the work laid down in those early months pays off all at once, as it did this month for my client Trasolini Chetner. Their West Kelowna resort development, Boucherie Beach, was featured in the New Homes Guide, the Okanagan Homes section of the Kelowna Daily Courier, bcliving.ca and in the Vancouver Sun’s inaugural Out of Town Properties section.
That’s a lot of media at once, and it helps create a sense of urgency and momentum that any sales team would love. Boucherie’s sales office was flooded with calls after these stories appeared, and although it’s hard to say how many direct sales were a result of the PR work done, it’s safe to say that Boucherie was “in the news” this month.
